Darci is a talented 14-year-old from Wynnum/Manly, with a passion for musical theatre and dance that began at the age of four. She is fortunate to be mentored by the renowned international soprano, Mirusia Louwerse. Recently, Darci showcased her skills in Mirusia’s Rising Stars concert, where she performed ‘Popular’ from Wicked.
Her impressive musical theatre repertoire includes key roles such as:
- Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (Queensland Musical Theatre at Twelfth Night Theatre)
- Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical (Savoyards at Iona Performing Arts Centre)
- Munchkin Coroner in The Wizard of Oz (Lynch & Paterson at Twelfth Night Theatre)
- Brigitta in The Sound of Music (Queensland Musical Theatre at Twelfth Night Theatre)
- Young Cosette in Les Misérables (Lynch & Paterson at Redcliffe Entertainment Centre)
Darci has also performed in various productions at The Dance and Theatre Factory, including Shrek the Musical Jnr, The Little Mermaid Jnr, Legally Blonde Jnr, Newsies Jnr, Frozen Jnr, Singing in the Rain Jnr, Dream Street, The Enchanted Bookshop, and Golly Gee Whiz.
At Bayside Dance, she held leading roles in Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood), Frozen (Olaf), Elf, and High School Musical Jnr.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was selected to play Matilda in a collaborative production at The Star Theatre, Gold Coast, showcasing the resilience of the Brisbane musical theatre community.
In addition to her performance endeavours, Darci is an active participant in her school’s dance troupe and sport aerobics teams, and she recently performed in the school musical Little Shop of Horrors.
Academically, she excels in her studies, receiving multiple awards for her achievements and exemplary behaviour.
Over the years, Darci has studied various dance styles, including jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and acro, further enhancing her versatility as a performer.
Darci is interested in all opportunities to expand her performance skills, both on the stage and in front of the camera.
